Google Ads in Dubai can feel like burning money. A business owner sets a daily budget, picks a few keywords, and a week later the account shows AED 30 clicks, no enquiries and a dashboard full of numbers nobody explained.
High cost per click (CPC) in Dubai is real, but most of the waste is avoidable. This guide shows typical CPC ranges by industry in the UAE, a real example from our own account, why clicks cost what they do, and the practical steps that bring the cost per enquiry down.

The short answer
Indicative cost per click ranges for Google Search ads in Dubai in 2026:
| Industry | Typical CPC (AED) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Legal and lawyers | 15 to 40 | Among the most competitive searches in the UAE |
| Real estate and property | 8 to 25 | Higher for luxury and off-plan terms |
| Clinics, dental and cosmetic | 8 to 30 | Treatment names like implants and fillers cost most |
| B2B software and web development | 10 to 35 | Agencies bidding against agencies |
| Business setup and visas | 10 to 30 | Many well-funded competitors |
| Home services (AC repair, cleaning, movers) | 4 to 15 | Urgent searches convert well |
| Education and training | 3 to 10 | Seasonal peaks before intakes |
| Ecommerce and retail | 1 to 5 | Shopping ads often cheaper than Search |
| Restaurants and cafes | 1 to 4 | Local and Maps searches dominate |
These are planning ranges, not quotes. Actual CPCs move with the exact keyword, match type, time of year and your ad quality. Always check current bids for your own keywords in Google’s Keyword Planner before setting a budget.
A real example from our own account
We ran a small Dubai Search campaign for our own website and CRM services, and the numbers were a useful lesson:
- 11 clicks cost about AED 140 in total, roughly AED 13 per click on average.
- One click on “real estate crm dubai” cost about AED 32.
- One click on “cheap website design dubai” cost about AED 29, from someone looking for the cheapest option, not a quality build.
- The campaign produced no enquiries, and conversion tracking was not fully set up, so Google’s automated bidding had nothing to learn from.
None of that was Google’s fault. Broad keywords, no negative keywords and missing tracking made expensive clicks inevitable. Everything below is what we would fix, and what we fix for clients.
Why clicks cost so much in Dubai
- **Competition.** Many businesses target the same high-value customers, often in English, so the auction is crowded.
- **High customer value.** A lawyer, clinic or property agent can earn thousands of dirhams from one client, so they can afford high bids.
- **Broad match without negatives.** Your ad shows for loosely related searches, including job seekers, students and people looking for free tools.
- **Low Quality Score.** Google charges less to ads that are relevant and send people to useful pages. Read Google’s own explanation of Quality Score.
- **Weak landing pages.** Sending paid clicks to a general homepage lowers both Quality Score and conversion rate.

How to cut your cost per enquiry
1. Track enquiries before spending
Set up conversions for form submissions, calls from ads and WhatsApp clicks. Without tracking, smart bidding guesses, and you cannot tell good keywords from bad ones.
2. Use phrase and exact match
Start with phrase and exact match on high-intent terms such as “emergency AC repair Dubai Marina” rather than broad terms like “AC”. Add broad match only once tracking proves what converts.
3. Build a negative keyword list on day one
Exclude searches like jobs, salary, course, free, cheap, template, DIY, and competitor brand names you do not want. Review the search terms report weekly and add more.
4. Send each ad group to a matching landing page
One service, one page, one clear action. Our landing page conversion checklist covers the 15 points to check before running ads.
5. Target locations carefully
Choose “people in or regularly in” your target area, not “interested in”, and exclude emirates or countries you do not serve. Many Dubai accounts quietly pay for clicks from outside the UAE.
6. Schedule ads for when customers call
If nobody answers the phone after 8 PM or at weekends, do not pay for clicks then.
7. Turn off Search Partners and Display at first
Keep a new Search campaign on Google Search only until you know your numbers.
8. Write ads that pre-qualify
Mention starting prices, service areas or minimum order values in the ad. Fewer people click, but the ones who do are real buyers, and that lowers cost per enquiry.
What budget to start with
| Business type | Sensible starting budget per month |
|---|---|
| Restaurant, cafe or retail | AED 1,500 to 3,000 |
| Home services | AED 2,000 to 5,000 |
| Clinic or training institute | AED 3,000 to 8,000 |
| Real estate, legal or business setup | AED 6,000 to 15,000 |
| B2B services | AED 4,000 to 10,000 |
Give a new campaign four to six weeks with tracking in place before judging it. Judge on cost per enquiry and cost per customer, not cost per click. A AED 25 click that turns into a AED 5,000 client is cheap.
Google Ads, SEO or Meta ads?
Google Ads captures people already searching, so it brings enquiries fastest. SEO costs nothing per click but takes months to rank. Meta ads create demand among people who are not searching yet. Most Dubai small businesses do best with tightly targeted Google Ads while SEO builds. Signs your Google Ads account is wasting money
- You cannot see which keywords produced enquiries.
- The search terms report is full of irrelevant searches.
- All ads go to the homepage.
- Your ads show at night, on weekends or outside the UAE without a reason.
- The agency reports clicks and impressions, not enquiries and cost per enquiry.
- The ad account is in the agency’s name, not yours.

Frequently Asked Questions
It varies widely by industry. Restaurants and ecommerce often pay AED 1 to 5 per click, home services AED 4 to 15, clinics and real estate AED 8 to 30, and legal or B2B services AED 10 to 40.
Many small businesses start with AED 2,000 to 5,000 a month, and more competitive sectors such as real estate, legal and business setup need AED 6,000 or more to get enough data.
Usually because of broad keywords without negatives, low Quality Score from weak ads or landing pages, and targeting that includes people outside your service area.
Improve ad relevance and landing pages to raise Quality Score, use phrase and exact match, add negative keywords, and target only the locations and hours you actually serve.
Well-built campaigns usually bring first enquiries within one to two weeks, with a stable cost per enquiry after four to eight weeks of optimisation.
Yes. Keep the ad account, billing and conversion data in your own name so you keep the history if you change agencies.
Final Thoughts
Google Ads in Dubai is expensive only when it is run loosely. Track enquiries, use tight keywords and a negative list, send every click to a matching page, and judge results on cost per enquiry. Do that, and even competitive Dubai searches can bring customers at a cost that makes sense.
